Our client is a leading ingredients supplier serving the bio ethanol industry. They specialise in offering customers with expert fermentation advice and support to complement the in-house manufacture and supply of Yeast, Yeast Nutrients and Enzymes. They have more than 15 years experience supporting ethanol customers from a variety of cereal and sugar crops in more than 20 countries. They are recruiting a Business Development Manager whose primary focus will be relationship building and prospecting within the Fuel Ethanol and Alcohol drinks Industry. Reporting to the MD, this international position will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers and developing new business prospects. You will be ‘hands on’ in managing and growing the business by developing long-lasting mutually beneficial relationships with key prospects in the industry and formulating a product package to suit their individual needs. You will coordinate and lead complex negotiations having the ability to “never drop the ball”. You will carry out on-site customer visits and assist with facilitating on-site product trials. Success in this position will rely heavily on excellent interaction with the Laboratory, Technical, Marketing, Operations and Production department.
Qualification: Degree in a relavent science
Minimum experience: You need a strong commercial acumen combined with a degree preferably in chemical engineering or biochemistry and at least 5 - 7 years of international experience be proactive and have a strategic mindset together with negotiation experience and a proven track record of developing long lasting relationships within a B2B environment. You will need to be a good team player with excellent presentation skills coupled with ambition, customer focus and a strong drive and are computer literate and preferably have experience of using CRM systems. Fluentcy in French and Spanish would be an advantage
