Medical & Economic Affairs Director UK & Ireland

Our Client explores, develops and produces new diagnostic test procedures to improve the diagnosis, and thereby the treatment, of life-threatening illnesses. This takes place with over 400 employees, on the basis of their own patented biomarkers, and leads to medically and economically superior diagnostic insights for patients and medical professionals. The Company’s Biomarkers products reach customers in over 65 countries around the world and are leaders in their specialised markets.

They are currently looking to recruit a Medical & Economic Affairs Director for the UK and Ireland to be responsible for the local implementation of the global medical positioning strategy of the Company, and will work together with their HQ on strategic projects. You will be expected to provide medico-economic information on the local market to the headquarters (Department of Global Medical Affairs). Using the strong existing network with opinion leaders in the UK/IRL, you will be responsible for making the internal business case for and conducting regional clinical studies that evaluate international clinical study results at the regional level. You will develop and implement the regional medical marketing strategy in close cooperation with your line manager, and the company strategy in close cooperation you’re your functional manager.

Qualifications: Medical Doctor or PhD in Life Sciences

Min Experience: 3-5 years experience in a Pharma or Medtech company in a similar position such as Medical Advisor, Medical Director or Medical Marketing Manager.

A strong background in launching a device or drug into the UK market and managing over the ‘4th hurdle’.
