They are looking for a proactive Sales Manager to head up a recently acquired business unit selling molecular diagnostics and reagents for infectious diseases. This unit already generates substantial revenue with great potential for further growth. Initially the role will involve direct support of existing accounts and acquisition of further customers. As the business expands, this individual will have the opportunity to appoint a sales team. The headquarters are in Berkshire and the job will be based from the office initially spending 1 or 2 days a week. However, the existing customer base is spread throughout the UK and the Sales Manager will be required to travel extensively each week to support this base.
Qualification: BSc Life Sciences
Min Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience of selling molecular diagnostics. Ultimately this person will head up a team within the business unit but initially the job will require a traditional sales focus. This role requires a good knowledge of diagnostic molecular biology, especially qPCR. In addition this individual must have existing relationships with hospital clinical labs or STD centres using molecular techniques and kits for routine testing and screening. An energetic and self-starting individual is needed.
