Their UK organisation is now looking for a Business Manager to assume overall responsibility within two of their key business units, Research Specialties and Research Essentials. By combining the organic compounds, biochemicals, analytical reagents, chromatography consumables, reference materials, and high-purity products they have created the largest single collection of cutting edge products within their Research Specialties unit. Their Research Essentials business is comprised of the most commonly used laboratory chemicals and supplies, routinely used by customers in all sectors and represents our most competitive market.
Reporting to the Country Manager, the key focus of the role will be to develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans in order to grow sales, whilst at the same time accelerating the success of their customers across a very diverse market encompassing academia, pharmaceutical and the industrial customer segments.
Qualification: BSc in Chemistry or equivalent
Minimum experience: At least 5 years direct sales experience with a highly successful track record of delivering business results against targets within a scientific based industry. Then ideally to have progressed into a role that requires some exposure to people management such as a Regional Sales or Product Management.
